Best Pumpkin Pie recipe ever!
Here it is, the Best Pumpkin Pie recipe ever!
Prepare pumpkin by cutting a pie pumpkin in half, scoop out the seeds and goo, then put upside down on a baking pan with 1/2 inch of water in it. Bake at 350 until a knife easily goes through the pumpkin. Cool and scoop out the pumpkin pulp from the skin, then,
Blend until smooth:
-1 3/4 cups pumpkin
-3/4 cup honey
-1/2 tsp salt
-1 tsp cinnamon
-1/2 tsp ground ginger
-1/8 tsp ground cloves
1 cup evaporated milk
-1/2 cup skim milk
Pour in a prepared pie shell (you will have to ask nicely for Grandma Prottengeier's secret recipe!) and bake at 425 for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 and continue baking for 45 more minutes.
Serve topped with real whipped cream, whipped with honey.
