"I had a great time at Wheatland this year! Of course! As Katy and I were driving home it struck me that Wheatland is our meeting blanket of life. Cheesy I know, but true.
This Saturday at breakfast we were all so glad when Eric took the blankets and set up a spot in front of main stage. Why? It wasn't just being able to see the music, but knowing that there was a place where we could all meet up. You don't know who is going to show up, or when, but if you go and enjoy the music, you know you will be with friends soon! It is one sure way we can find each other.
....Mardi Gras!!! Man oh man! Do those Cajuns know how to do Mardis Gras. Mary and I arrived in the area on Friday the 12th, stayed at Chicot State Park two nights before moving into Lakeview RV park near Eunice and hooking up with the Birneys (Dave, Dianne and daughter Alice). We drove through a snow storm going through Baton Rouge to get here.
I have friends that resently had a profitable getting "Bumped" experience. I thought it might be usefull for those traveling when time frame isn't critical. They had been on a Disney cruise.
Now for the part that was a pure bonus. Disney put us in one of their resorts the day we got back because of airline scheduling.
